PURPOSE: A defecation and urination detecting system and method thereof are provided to effectively manage a managing target by informing defecation and urination states to a protector in real time. CONSTITUTION: A defecation and urination detecting system includes a sensing tag(20) and an RFID reader(30). The sensing tag senses defecation and urination by being attached to a diaper or underwear. The RFID reader registers the sensing tag according to a low power tag registration procedure and detects the energy level of a reception signal generated by the sensing tag. The state of the defecation and urination is determined by analyzing the conversion of sensitivity.사람의 배변/배뇨를 검출하는 것에 있어서, RFID 수동형 태그(tag)와 리더기를 사용하여 태그의 감도(또는, 수신 카운트) 변화를 측정하여 배변/배뇨 상태를 검출하고, 이를 실시간으로 사용자에게 알려주도록 한 배변/배뇨 검출 시스템 및 그 방법이 개시된다.개시된 배변/배뇨 검출방법은, 초기화를 수행한 후, 배변/배뇨 감지용 태그의 등록이 요청되면 상기 배변/배뵨 감지용 태그를 1:1로 등록하는 제1단계와； 상기 등록된 배변/배뇨 감지용 태그로부터 발생한 수신신호의 에너지 레벨을 검출하여 감도를 검출하는 제2단계와； 상기 검출한 감도를 분석하여 배변/배뇨 감지용 태그로부터 배변/배뇨로 인해 감도 변화가 감지될 경우, 배변 또는 배뇨 검출로 판단하고 알람 및 표시 발생을 수행하는 제3단계와； 상기 알람 발생 후 미리 설정된 시간 이내에 알람 해제가 요청되면 발생하는 알람을 해제하는 제4단계와； 상기 알람 발생 후, 일정 시간 안에 알람 해제가 요청되지 않으면 미리 등록된 사용자 기기로 알람을 전송해주어, 배변/배뇨가 검출되었음을 원격에 위치한 사용자에게 통보해주는 제5단계를 포함한다.
