In the case of a driver (1) for use on a feed chain with annular chain links, wherein the driver (1) is configured so as to project on both sides over the width of a chain link (8), the invention proposes that the driver (1) has two receiving troughs (7) for two opposite portions of a chain link (8), wherein the driver (1) is configured elastically in the region of said two receiving troughs (7) such that said driver can be clipped onto the chain link (8) by means of latching. In addition, the invention proposes a feed chain which has a plurality of such drivers (1) each fastened to a chain link (8).
