To provide a patient watching system that when a patient starts motion, such as bed-leaving, requiring monitoring, notifies the patient of a message for persuading the patient not to perform the bed-leaving while notifying a nurse.SOLUTION: A patient watching system includes: a camera 8 for imaging a patient； and a specific posture detection unit 23 provided on a corridor lamp 2 to detect a specific posture from video imaged by the camera 8 when the specific posture is taken by the patient on a bed.
