PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pharmaceutically active pyrrolidine derivative.SOLUTION: The pyrrolidine derivative is represented by general formula I. The compound is preferably used as a pharmaceutically active compound. Specifically, the pyrrolidine derivative represented by formula I is effective for treatment and/or prevention of premature delivery, premature birth and dysmenorrhea. In particular, the pyrrolidine derivative exhibits substantially modulatory, notably antagonistic activity to an oxytocin receptor. More preferably, the compound is effective for treatment and/or prevention of morbidity mediated by oxytocin, including premature delivery, premature birth and dysmenorrhea.
