PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion composition which is excellent in permeability of astaxanthins to the skin, to provide a method for producing the composition, and to provide a cosmetic.SOLUTION: The emulsion composition contains the astaxanthins originated from krill, and phosphatidylcholine in an oil phase regulated so that the content of the phosphatidylcholine in the oil phase may be 0.1-10 mass%. The emulsion composition contains a water-soluble emulsifier whose mass ratio is an amount of >0.5 times and ≤2 times based on the total amount of oily components. Moreover, the composition preferably contains an antioxidant, and the emulsion particle preferably has the particle diameter of ≤200 nm.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、アスタキサンチン類の皮膚への浸透性に優れたエマルション組成物およびその製造方法、ならびに化粧品を提供する。【解決手段】油相中にオキアミ由来のアスタキサンチン類とホスファチジルコリンとを含有し、前記ホスファチジルコリンの油相中における含有量が0.1質量%~10質量%でり、全油性成分量に対して質量比で0.5倍を超え、2倍以下の水溶性乳化剤を含むエマルション組成物である。更に酸化防止剤を含有することが好ましく、乳化粒子は、粒子径が200nm以下であることが好ましい。【選択図】なし
