PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polymer particles for use in a medical treatment and/or diagnosis.SOLUTION: Particles include poly[bis(tri-fluoroethoxy)phosphazene] and/or a derivative thereof, and these may exist in the particle entirely or in a coating outside the particle. Each particle may include a core containing hydrogel formed of an acrylic polymer. The particles allow for a selective embolization of a blood vessel having a specific size or a local treatment with an active ingredient medicine in a specific clinical application. The particles are provided to a user in a specific selected size. In addition, in use, the particles are provided as micro-spheres or nano-spheres, the micro-sphere and the nanosphere being color-coded to allow the particles in a certain size to be easily differentiated.
