The device consists of a canvas sheet (1), which is designed to be held on the ground, by means of a series of eyelets (2) around the edges. The required planting arrangement (4) is then printed or drawn onto the canvas, with the planting points (5) marked as required. Each planting point is also marked with a planting code to indicate the correct plant to be planted there.The plants are then planted in the required position, through the canvas. The canvas sheet is constructed of two sheets of polythene, or other material with similar properties and may also incorporate a watering system, which delivers regular and even supplies of water direct to the plants. After planting has been completed the sheet is removed by cutting along the planting lines.
