The invention relates to a method for collecting seaweed seedlings. The invention further relates to a method for cultivating seaweeds in open sea. Specifically, the invention involves utilizing a non-woven fabric sheet made of synthetic fibers, more particularly a highly porous non-woven fabric sheet composed of randomly interlaced polyester fibers, as a substrate for attachment and growth of seaweed seedlings, in a bid to achieve the purposes of collecting and cultivating the seaweed seedlings.本發明關於一種採集大型海藻之藻苗的方法。本發明也關於一種在開放海域中培育大型海藻的方法。更特定地說，本發明涉及運用由人造纖維所製成的不織布片材，特別是纖維呈規則或不規則交錯而具有高孔隙度的聚酯纖維不織布片材，做為海藻苗附著生長的基材，來實現大型海藻之藻苗的採集和培育。
