PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intramedullary nail that can be securely used for a long time by preventing slackness caused by a lag screw rotation and keep a certain accession depth of the lag screw and relative positioning of the lag screw and a centering sleeve, and to provide a joining method of a broken bone section by using it.
SOLUTION: The intramedullary nail comprises a nail to be inserted into a cavity of a broken bone, the lag screw fitted by insertion into a slant through-hole of the nail so as to be screwed into the condyle part by a driving screw of a tip part, and a centering sleeve provided between the nail and the lag screw whose inner periphery surface has an engaging configuration and outer periphery surface has a male screw part and a taper lock configuration to be thread-engaged with a female screw part carved on the slant through-hole. A number of each threads of the male and female screw parts is n times of the number of the threads of the driving screw, and each screw pitch of the male and female screw parts is set to be 1/n of that of the driving screw.
