Provided is a skin external preparation that generates no sticky feeling, and provides high moisturizing feeling and an effect of preventing and improving dullness, and further that is also excellent in a feeling on use such as elasticity. The present invention is a skin external preparation comprising the following ingredients (A) and (B) : (A) Pentaerythritol and (B) One or more kinds selected from the group consisting of glycerin, 1,3-butylene glycol, propanediol, dipropylene glycol, 1,4-butylene glycol, diglycerin, threitol, erythritol, sorbitol and mannitol.
