PURPOSE: A composition containing seaweed extract is provided to prevent hair loss, to promote hair growth, and to be applied in pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing hair loss or promoting hair growth contains seaweed extract. The seaweed is 1-200 ug/ml of Ishige sinicola, 1-200 ug/ml of Grateloupia elliptica, or 1-100 ug/ml of Hizikia fusiformis (Harvey) Okamura. The composition is a pharmaceutical composition or a cosmetic composition. The pharmaceutical composition contains 10-20 parts by weight of the extract. The daily dose of the pharmaceutical composition is 0.1-500mg per 1kg of body weight. The pharmaceutical composition is manufactured in the form of powder, granules, tablet, capsule, suspension, emulsion, syrup, ointment, external use, suppository, or sterilized injection solution.본 발명은 해조류 추출물을 포함하는 탈모 방지 또는 육모 촉진을 위한 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 해조류 추출물을 포함하는 조성물은 탈모를 억제 및 예방하며 육모를 촉진하는 효능이 인정되고, 약학, 화장품 및 미용 등의 분야에서 다양하게 활용 가능하다.
