A method of cutting a bone (2) comprises the steps of: preparing the bone (2) in order to be accessible to an osteotomic instrument； predefining an osteotomic geometry on the bone (2)； and applying the osteotomic instrument to the bone (2) thereby cutting the bone (2) along the osteotomic geometry and generating a cut surface (21) to the bone (2). The method further comprises delivering a laser beam to the cut surface (21) of the bone (2) such that the cut surface (21) of the bone (2) is ablated. The method according to the invention allows to improve healing of a bone at its cut surface after being cut by the osteotomic instrument.L'invention concerne un procédé de coupe d'un os (2) qui comprend les étapes suivantes : la préparation de l'os (2) afin de le rendre accessible à un instrument d'ostéotomie ； la pré-définition d'une géométrie d'ostéotomie sur l'os (2) ； l'application de l'instrument d'ostéotomie sur l'os (2) permettant ainsi la coupe de l'os (2) le long de la géométrie d'ostéotomie et l'obtention d'une surface coupée (21) sur l'os (2). Le procédé comprend en outre l'émission d'un faisceau laser en direction de la surface coupée (21) de l'os (2) de sorte que la surface coupée (21) de l'os (2) est soumise à une ablation. Le procédé, selon l'invention, permet d'améliorer la cicatrisation d'un os au niveau de sa surface coupée après avoir été coupé par l'instrument d'ostéotomie.
