A light source apparatus includes: a plurality of semiconductor light sources each emitting light with a wavelength band, the wavelength bands being mutually different from one another a control section that, based on brightness control information, determines a current value and a duty ratio for a drive signal for driving one reference semiconductor light source from among the semiconductor light sources for the plurality of colors, determines a current value for a drive signal for driving each of semiconductor light sources other than the reference semiconductor light source from among the semiconductor light sources for the plurality of colors based on the current value for the drive signal for driving the reference semiconductor light source, determines a duty ratio for the drive signal for driving each of the semiconductor light sources other than the reference semiconductor light source from among the semiconductor light sources for the plurality of colors so as to correspond to the duty ratio for the driving signal for driving the reference semiconductor light source, thereby generating light adjustment information for performing light adjustment control of the semiconductor light sources for the plurality of colors and a drive section that drives the semiconductor light sources for the plurality of colors based on the light adjustment information.
