The present invention provides a hyperspectral imaging system whichdemonstrates changes in tissue oxygen delivery, extraction and saturationduring shock and resuscitation including an imaging apparatus for performingreal-time or near real~time assessment and monitoring of shock, includinghemorrhagic, hypovolemic, cardiogenic, neurogenic, septic or burn shock. Theinformation provided by the hyperspectral measurement can deliver physiologicmeasurements that support early detection of shock and also provideinformation about likely outcomes.
