PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which enables an absorbable body to be stably fixed to front-body and back-body exterior bodies without deteriorating functions of elastic expansion/contraction members arranged on both the sides of the absorbable body.SOLUTION: In this type of disposable diaper, an absorbable body 3 is attached to front-body and back-body exterior bodies 1 and 2. In both end areas 51 in the length direction of the absorbable body 3, a joined state of the absorbable body 3 is stabilized by joining the absorbable body 3 to front-body and back-body exterior bodies 1 and 2 over the whole width-direction area. Meanwhile, in an area where elastic expansion/contraction members 4 arranged in both the side parts of the absorbable body 3 exist, the absorbable body 3 is partially separated from the front-body and back-body exterior bodies 1 and 2 so that a function of the elastic expansion/contraction member 4 can be effectively exerted. The disposable diaper is based on the above findings.
