The present invention relates to a mouse antibody binding to angiopoietin-2(Ang2), a humanized anti-Ang2 antibody derived therefrom, and a use thereof. The anti-Ang2 antibody possesses the double function of Ang2 neutralization and Tie2 receptor activation. The anti-Ang2 antibody normalizes abnormal and pathological blood vessels, and accordingly exhibits therapeutic effects with regard to various diseases and disorders associated with abnormal blood vessels. The present invention provides an angiogenesis inhibitor comprising the antibody as an active ingredient, and a composition for preventing and treating diseases associated with abnormal Ang2 expression and Tie2 regulation disorders.
