PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning apparatus and a cleaning method for a hopper of a medicine dispensing packaging machine capable of blowing off and collecting a medicine adhering on not only the inner face of the hopper but also other parts around the hopper.SOLUTION: The cleaning apparatus for the hopper of the medicine dispensing packaging machine is equipped with the hopper 4 receiving the medicine from a medicine feeding part, a freely openable/closeable lid 30 provided on an opening part so that the medicine received by the hopper 4 is fed into a dispensing packaging paper from the opening part on the lower end of the hopper 4, and a nozzle 9 fed from the upper part into the hopper through a driving mechanism to blow off air.
