The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting a lesion. More specifically, provided are an apparatus and a method for detecting a lesion, which detect a three-dimensional coordinate located in a three-dimensional medical image by an estimated lesion detected from a two-dimensional medical image, and then detect a lesion by setting a three-dimensional region of interest (ROI) to the three-dimensional medical image using the detected three-dimensional coordinate, thereby remarkably reducing the time required for detecting the lesion, and also enhancing accuracy in detecting the lesion.
