The present invention relates to: a method for increasing resistance of plants to non-biological stress which includes a step of transforming a plant cell by using a recombinant vector including a gene for coding methionine sulfoxide reductase B2 (MSRB2) derived from pepper (Capsicumannuum)； a method for preparing a transformed plant with increased resistance to non-biological stress when compared to a wild type by transforming a plant cell by using the recombinant vector including the gene for coding the MSRB2； and a composition for increasing resistance of plants to non-biological stress including the transformed plant, prepared by the same method, seed of the same plant, and the gene for coding MSRB2 derived from pepper as active ingredients. The gene for coding MSRB2 derived from pepper of the present invention can be advantageously used for developing a transformed plant with increased resistance to non-biological stress.본 발명은 고추(Capsicumannuum) 유래 MSRB2(methionine sulfoxide reductase B2) 단백질 코딩 유전자를 포함하는 재조합 벡터를 식물세포에 형질전환시키는 단계를 포함하는 식물의 비생물학적 스트레스에 대한 내성을 증가시키는 방법, 상기 MSRB2 단백질 코딩 유전자를 포함하는 재조합 벡터로 식물세포를 형질전환하여 야생형에 비해 비생물학적 스트레스에 대한 내성이 증가된 형질전환 식물체의 제조 방법, 상기 방법에 의해 제조된 형질전환 식물체 및 이의 종자 및 상기 고추 유래 MSRB2 단백질 코딩 유전자를 유효성분으로 함유하는, 식물체의 비생물학적 스트레스에 대한 내성 증가용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 고추 유래 MSRB2 단백질 코딩 유전자는 비생물학적 스트레스에 대한 저항성이 증가된 형질전환 식물체의 개발에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
