PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose ether containing a cationic group which can give an excellent slipperiness and its lasting feeling, finger passing properties, softness and a coated feeling during rinsing when added to a hair cosmetic and give an excellent moisturized feeling after drying when added to a skin cleansing agent, and to provide a surfactant composition containing the same and a hair cosmetic composition and a skin cleansing agent composition containing the surfactant composition.SOLUTION: There are provided [1] a cellulose ether containing a cationic group which has a main chain derived from an anhydroglucose and in which the degree of substitution of a cationized oxyalkylene group per the anhydroglucose unit is 0.01 or more and to 1.0 or less, the degree of substitution of a glycerol group is 0.5 or more and 5.0 or less and the degree of substitution of a group having a specific structure having a hydrocarbon group having 3 or more and 7 or less carbon atoms is 0.0001 or more and 0.2 or less [2] a surfactant composition containing the cellulose ether containing a cationic group, a surfactant and water and [3] a hair cosmetic composition and a hair cleansing agent composition containing the cellulose ether containing a cationic group, a surfactant and water.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】毛髪化粧料に配合すると、すすぎ時に優れたすべり性とその持続感、指通り性、柔らかさ、並びにコート感を付与することができ、皮膚洗浄剤に配合すると、乾燥後に優れた保湿感を付与することができるカチオン性基含有セルロースエーテル、それを含有する界面活性剤組成物、並びに該界面活性剤組成物を含有する毛髪化粧料組成物及び皮膚洗浄剤組成物を提供する。【解決手段】[1]アンヒドログルコース由来の主鎖を有し、該アンヒドログルコース単位あたりのカチオン化オキシアルキレン基の置換度が0.01以上1.0以下であり、グリセロール基の置換度が0.5以上5.0以下であり、かつ炭素数3以上7以下の炭化水素基を含有する特定構造の基の置換度が0.0001以上0.2以下であるカチオン性基含有セルロースエーテル、[2]前記カチオン性基含有セルロースエーテル、界面活性剤及び水を含有する界面活性剤組成物、[3]前記カチオン性基含有セルロースエーテル、界面活性剤及び水を含有する毛髪化粧料組成物及び皮膚洗浄剤組成物である。【選択図】なし
