PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate handling of a container storing radioactive wastes.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a radioactive waste storage container handling device includes: a lorry horizontally movable on a rail; a lift frame 20 supported on this lorry and movable vertically; a lift drive part driving the lift frame 20 vertically while keeping a connection state between the lorry and the lift frame 20; a chuck support frame 10 supported from the lift frame 20; a suspension tool suspended from the lift frame 20, and formed to be able to support the chuck support frame 10 and to make the chuck frame 10 movable relatively upward in a predetermined range when the chuck support frame 10 is pressed upward; and a chuck part 13 supported by the chuck support frame 10 and formed to be able to hold/release a container.
