PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent and a method for efficiently controlling many vermin by using an agent which can sufficiently effectively control vermin by the use of a little amount of chemicals or the like.
SOLUTION: The vermin controlling agent is prepared by being compounded with a medium comprising a carrier and a vermin controlling ingredient supported thereon, wherein the medium attaches to vermin and gives controlling effects to other individual vermin by the approach of vermin with each other. The vermin controlling method comprises attaching to vermin at least the medium contained in the vermin controlling agent and approaching the vermin controlling agent containing the medium to other individual vermin. The vermin controlling method on a human body is characterized in attaching, to vermin, a vermin controlling agent containing one or more of Deet, p-menthane-3,8-diol, dimethyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, MGK-11 and MGK-326 as a vermin controlling ingredient, to control vermin on a human body.
