The invention relates to a rotary shear for harvesting biomass from forestry and/or agricultural crops, driven by a general purpose power tiller or a low capacity universal tractor. According to the invention, the shear consists of a moulded housing (1) in which a main shaft (2) is mounted longitudinally, in the extension of which is arranged a non-detachable stiffened conical toothed pinion (3), which engages an upper conical toothed pinion (8), assembled on a vertical inner shaft (7), transmitting it a direction of rotation and engaging further a lower conical toothed pinion (15), detachably assembled on a vertical outer shaft (14), transmitting it a rotation direction opposite to the upper pinion (8), the concentricity and equidistance during the opposite rotation of the outer shaft (14) and inner shaft (7) being carried out by means of some rolling bearings (20), which transmit the rotational movement to an upper rotary knife (23), and the rotational movement, in the opposite direction, to a lower knife (24), respectvely, the shafts (7 and 14) in rotational movement being protected by means of a protective guard (27), the knives (23 and 24) being driven into a shearing process carried out in a plane parallel with the plane determined by the ground, cutting the lignified vegetation between the two knives (23 and 24) which rotate in opposite directions.Invenţia se referă la o foarfecă rotativă pentru recoltarea biomasei din culturile silvice şi/sau agricole, acţionată de un motocultor de uz general sau de un tractor universal de capacitate mică.
