PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose combine harvester capable of preventing misconception of a harvest crop due to an incorrect operation or an operation failure of a crop change-over switch, and avoiding a harvesting loss or a jamming due to the misconception of the harvest crop.SOLUTION: A general-purpose combine harvester 1 capable of harvesting crops of several kinds detects the adjusting state of one or more crop adjusting elements to be adjusted differently for different crops harvested, and discriminates the harvested crops on the basis of the detected adjusting states of the different crop adjusting elements. Moreover, the combination pattern of the detected adjusting state relating to the different-crop adjusting elements is compared with the combination pattern of the proper adjusting state relating to the stored crops. If the detected combination pattern fails to coincide with any of the stored combination patterns, it is decided that the present combination pattern is improper, and a warning is issued.
