Compositions for improving the elasticity of the vagina and of the perineum during the last trimester of pregnancy, include combining a thiolated compound or mixture thereof with an ester of organic acid or mixture thereof. The compositions according to the present invention improve the elastic properties of the vaginal and/or perineal tissues in terms both of increased extensibility and faster elastic recovery.
