The implant has a cylindrical body (10) that can be inserted into a hole in the jawbone, and an abutment (50) that can be inserted into the annular recess of the body. The abutment has a hole for receiving the retaining screw and a mounting head (66) for the dental prosthesis. The implant is insertable into the blind hole of the body and has a retaining screw threading through the abutment and at least one gap between the abutment and the body in which the cushioning material (60) can be placed.
