PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting apparatus including a multifunctional projecting body which is fixed to a root-guard layer for preventing soil forming a soil layer from swaying, holding a windproof net or the like, and promoting rooting of plants, facilitated in engagement of a lot of multifunctional projections with a water supply/drainage base and the like so as to reduce the costs, and excellent in plant growing function. SOLUTION: The planting apparatus includes: a waterproofing layer formed on the substrate; a root-guard layer; a water retention-protection sheet formed on the root-guard layer; a water supply/drainage base set on the water retention-protection sheet to supply the held water to the roots of the plants and gripping piled soil; and multifunctional projections fixed to the substrate of the water supply/drainage base and fixed to the root-guard layer for preventing the soil forming the soil layer from swaying, holding the windproof net or the like, and promoting rooting of the plants: wherein the water retention-protection sheet and the water supply/drainage base are engaged with the multifunctional projections via slits formed at the water retention-protection sheet, and hole parts formed in the bottom surface of the water supply/drainage base.
