The X-ray CT apparatus includes an X-ray tube configured to apply an X-ray onto a subject, a scan device configured to rotate the X-ray tube about the subject to perform an X-ray CT scan, a first control device configured to switch an X-ray output of the X-ray tube from a first level to a second level smaller than the first level when the X-ray tube is placed at a first view angle, and configured to switch the X-ray output from the second level to the first level when the X-ray tube is placed at a second view angle, and a second control device configured to set the first view angle and the second view angle such that an X-ray exposure dose reduced by setting the X-ray output of the X-ray tube smaller than the first level becomes even on right and left sides.
