PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved connecting device for two components of a patient support surface.SOLUTION: A locking assembly 2 is provided on a first component 4 of the patient support surface, and a coupling point 3 is provided on a second component 5 of the patient support surface. The locking assembly 2 and the coupling point 3 of a connecting device 1 are arranged such that the first component 4 and the second component 5 can be connected to each other in respective connecting directions v, v and locked to each other.
