The present invention relates to the genetic control of parasites and pathogens via the expression of silencing RNA in transgenic plants, including microalgae. In one aspect, the invention exploits the ability of plants to express the silencing RNA in a form within chloroplasts that is efficiently taken up, after ingestion where it can act to suppress the expression of target genes within the pathogen or parasite.Cette invention concerne la lutte contre les parasites et les pathogènes par expression dARN silencieux dans des plantes transgéniques, notamment les micro-algues. Dans un aspect, linvention se sert de la capacité des plantes à exprimer lARN silencieux sous une forme dans les chloroplastes qui est repris avec efficacité, après ingestion, où il peut agir pour supprimer lexpression de gènes cibles dans le pathogène ou le parasite.
