Disclosed herein is a process for the preparation of N-sulphonylpyrrole derivatives of formula I, wherein the substituents are as defined within the specification, comprising the step of reacting an acrylic acid chloride compound of formula II with aqueous hydroxylamine. The process further includes the steps of transforming the compound of formula II into its acid chloride of formula II.
