PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise an intermediate part in the back and forth direction of solid gathers greatly and highly compared to both front and rear sides thereof.SOLUTION: Solid gathers BS include a gather sheet 15, a gather elastic elongation and contraction member 16, and a cover sheet 51. The gather sheet 15 includes: a root portion 17 fixed to the side part of an absorbent article projection portions 18 projecting from the root portion 17 a lying part 40 provided at the front and rear end parts of the projection portions 18, respectively, and fixed to the surface of a body part in a lying state a non-fixed free portion 19 positioned between front and rear lying parts 40 of the projection portions 18 and a slit 50 formed between the tip part and the root portion in the free portion 19, and along the back and forth direction in the intermediate region in the back and forth direction including a crotch part C2 in the free portion 19. The gather elastic elongation and contraction member 16 is fixed at least more on the portion of the tip side from the slit 50 of the free portion 19, in a state of being stretched in the back and forth direction.
