PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic imaging apparatus which prevents a probe from operating abnormally due to increase in the peripheral humidity of the probe of the acoustic imaging apparatus or adhesion of water.SOLUTION: An acoustic imaging apparatus comprises an image generation part which includes a probe array 17 having a recessed portion recessed downward in which a plurality of probes 18 receiving an acoustic wave generated from a subject, and generates an image on the basis of the output of the probes 18. The acoustic imaging apparatus has impedance matching liquid arranged inside the probe array 17, and further comprises a cover member 19 which covers the probe array 17 from the side opposite to the reception surface and is connected to a liquid tank so that a storage space storing the plurality of probes 18 is formed by the liquid tank and the cover member 19. The probe 18 includes signal wiring 180 outputting an electric signal on the basis of the received acoustic wave.
