PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for improving meat quality of edible animals such as cattle, pigs, horses, deer, whales, and chickens by which the improvement of the meat quality and taste or indole of edible animals can be achieved.SOLUTION: By a prescription of feeding edible animals with water-soluble solution containing edible silicon as drinking water, excretion of the harmful substances in the body of edible animals can be achieved, and an increase in quantity of the content of free amino acid in meat quality and a decrease of the indole content of urinary and feces of edible animals can be achieved. Drinking water added with a water-soluble solution can be ingested without unpleasantness by all edible animals as well as meat quality can be improved (become better) and indole concentration in urinary and feces can be inhibited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】食用動物の肉質の改善と、うま味の改善、又はインドールの改善が図れる、牛、豚、馬、鹿、鯨、鶏等の食用動物の肉質改善方法を提供する。【解決手段】食用動物に、食用珪素を含む水溶性溶液を、飲料水として摂取する処方により、食用動物の体内の有害物質の排泄を図り、肉質中の遊離アミノ酸の含有量の増量と、食用動物の尿糞のインドール含有量の低下と、を図る。水溶性溶液を添加した飲料水の提供は、全ての食用動物が、違和感なく摂取でき、かつ肉質改善（肉質の向上）、排尿糞中のインドール濃度抑制できる。【選択図】図１
