An environmentally-friendly aquatic plant growing holder allows aquatic plants that grow near or in water to be planted without soil or sand, enables the stem portions of aquatic plants to be supported in an upright position, and allows the roots to grow outside the body of the holder to induce natural plant growth. The plant growing holder is manufactured with various materials such as ceramic, glass, crystal, metal, etc., so that aquatic plants that grow in wetlands and most plants that grow in soil but can be planted without sand or soil may be planted in a planting tool such as a basin type small plate, bowl, cup, jar, fishbowl or manmade pond. The plant growing holder has a through-hole that cap may be adjusted, thereby allowing the aquatic plant's stem and roots to be induced to grow freely in water and allowing the plant to be firmly supported.
