The disposable diaper (10) also has, between the upper stretchable region (18) and the lower stretchable regions (20A, 20B) in each of the front and rear waist regions (13, 14), an intermediate stretchable region (19) located longitudinally outward side of an end edge section (12a, 12b) of the liquid absorptive structure (12). At least in the front waist region (13) of the front and rear waist regions (13, 14) is formed a non-stretchable region (30) at a position that is between the lower stretchable regions (20A, 20B) and faces the center region of a liquid absorptive core. Stretch stress in the intermediate stretchable regions (19) is less than stretch stress in the upper stretchable regions (18).
