1. A synergistic herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally effective amount of (a) phenocsulam and (b) florasulam. The synergistic herbicidal composition according to claim 1, in which the ratio of the mass of fenoksulam to the mass of florasulam is from about 17: 1 to about 1: 1.3. The synergistic herbicidal composition of claim 2, wherein the weight ratio is about 7: 1.4. The synergistic herbicidal composition of claim 2, wherein the weight ratio is from about 2.7: 1 to about 2.0: 1.5. A herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally effective amount of a synergistic herbicidal composition according to claim 1 and an agriculturally acceptable excipient or carrier. The composition according to claim 5, in which the ratio of the mass of fenoksulam to the mass of florasulam is from about 17: 1 to about 1: 1.7. The composition of claim 5, wherein the weight ratio is about 7: 1.8. The composition of claim 2, wherein the weight ratio is from about 2.7: 1 to about 2.0: 1.9. A method for controlling undesirable vegetation, which involves the interaction of the vegetation or its place of growth with a herbicidally effective amount of (a) phenocsulam and (b) florasulam. 10.
