A multilayer magnetic therapeutic device for use with mammals, consisting of a first sheet having a first mating surface that has a plurality of protrusions, and a second sheet having a second mating surface that has one or more internal ribs that define a plurality of placement areas for connecting to a plurality of protrusions of the first mating surface, in which at least a portion of the first mating surface has a first magnetic field pattern and that at least a portion of the second mating surface has a second magnetic field pattern so that when the protrusions of the first mating surface coincide with the areas of the second mating surface, at least one portion of the first magnetic field pattern faces at least one portion a second magnetic field pattern of a similar polarity, thus creating a repulsive force between the first and second sheets. 2. The device according to claim 1, wherein the first magnetic field pattern extends through at least one of the protrusions so that the magnetic field pattern on the protrusion surface contributes to the magnetic field pattern on the application surface. The device according to claim 1, wherein there are two or more protrusions and two or more arrangement zones such that when the protrusions are located in the arrangement zones, the first sheet cannot move relative to the second sheet in a plane that is substantially parallel to the plane defined by the second mating surface. 4.
