FUNCTIONAL FINE PARTICLES IN WHICH RADICAL-POLYMERIZABLE GROUP IS INTRODUCED THROUGH URETHANE BOND, AND MEDICAL/DENTAL CURABLE COMPOSITION INCLUDING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in which: wettability or mechanical strength of an inorganic filler blended in a medical/dental curable composition is improved by surface treatment of a silane coupling agent; because the silane coupling agent generally uses γ-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane, dehydration temperature at dehydration condensation has limitations, and sufficient mechanical strength and durability is not obtained because of fragile xerogel layer and hydrophilic property; and an inorganic filler is required in which there is no fragile xerogel layer, and excellent mechanical strength and durability is given when used as a medical/dental curable composition.SOLUTION: A functional fine particle is given in which radical-polymerizable group is introduced through urethane bond into hydroxyl group on an inorganic filler surface. The functional fine particle is given in which surface modification of the inorganic filler surface is performed by reaction among coupling organic compound including isocyanate group and one kind or more radical-polymerizable group in a molecule and/or organic compound including uretdione group and one kind or more radical-polymerizable group in a molecule.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】医科歯科用硬化性組成物に配合される無機充填材は、シランカップリング剤で表面処理され、濡れ性や機械的強度向上が図っているが、シランカップリング剤には、γ-メタクリロキシプロピルトリメトキシシランが広く用いられており、脱水縮合時での乾燥温度に限界があり、脆弱なキセロゲル層が残り、親水性を示し十分な機械的強度と耐久性が得られないので、脆弱なキセロゲル層が存在せず、医科歯科用硬化性組成物に用いた際に高い機械的強度及び耐久性が得られる無機充填材の提供。【解決手段】無機充填材表面のヒドロキシル基に、ウレタン結合を介してラジカル重合性基が導入された機能性微粒子。即ち、無機充填材表面にイソシネート基と一種類以上のラジカル重合性基を分子内に併せ持つカップリング性有機化合物及び/又はウレトジオン基と一種類以上のラジカル重合性を分子内に併せ持つ有機化合物を反応させて、表面改質した機能性微粒子。【選択図】なし
