THIS invention relates to a mammographic tomography test object (hereinafter referred to as a phantom) and more particularly, but not exclusively, to a mammographic tomography test phantom for use in the verification of image reconstruction positions in digital breast tomosynthesis. The phantom includes a body made from an approximately tissue equivalent x-ray attenuating material an upper spacer located on top of the body, and a lower spacer located below the body, the spacers being made from a substantially non- compressible material and a plurality of x-ray opaque granules located at predetermined positions within the body.La présente invention concerne un objet de test de mammographie tomographique (ci-après désigné fantôme) et plus particulièrement, mais de manière non exclusive, un fantôme de test de mammographie tomographiquedestiné à être utilisé dans la vérification de positions de reconstruction dimages dans la tomosynthèse mammaire numérique. Le fantôme comporte un corps réalisé à partir de matériau datténuation de rayons X plus ou moins équivalent au tissu une entretoise supérieure placée sur le haut du corps, et une entretoise inférieure placée sous le corps, les entretoises étant réalisées à partir dun matériau sensiblement non compressible et une pluralité de granules opaques aux rayons X placées à des positions prédéterminées à lintérieur du corps.
