PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device whereby visibility of a surgical thread can be enhanced.SOLUTION: An image processing device 12 is provided with an image acquiring part 52 for acquiring a first image captured under an illumination condition in which a surgical thread emits fluorescent color and a second image captured under an illumination condition including at least visible light as images of an operative part in which the surgical thread emits fluorescent color, and a synthesis part for generating a synthesis image in which a region of the surgical thread in the first image is synthesized with the second image.
