A therapeutic table construction which isolates a first portion of the patients body to a fixed table portion and a second portion of the patients body to a moveable table portion, and applies a distraction force to the moveable portion of the patients body while positioning the portion of the patients spine that is to be treated at an angle so as to isolate the portion of the patients spine which receives the distraction force.
