A nebulizer for receiving a container containing fluid and a display device is proposed. The display device locks off further use of the container when a predetermined number of uses has been reached or exceeded. In the locked state, the locking device locks the nebulizer against rotation and thus further use in a partially tensioned state. After replacement of the container containing the display device, the nebulizer can be used again.
