ABSTRACT SELF-IGNITABLE AGARBATTI In India joss stick is known as agarbatti.In India agarbatti is used every day for worship of god. Agarbatti is widely accepted and used in western community and around the world.Typically, a match, a lighter, or some means of providing a flame to the incense is utilized to start burning the incense. A need is to have an ability to light the incense without an external source of a flame.The invention relates to joss stick which is self-ignitablethat can be ignited by striking on rough surface.Accordingly, the self-ignitable agarbatti is provided which comprises an ignitable shaft having a holding end, an ignitable end located opposite to said holding end having flammable glue applied over it and a middle portion rolled over with an incense material. Also, a self-ignitable agarbatti assembly is provided thatwhich include a self-ignitable agarbatti and a striking surface.
