The selection unit changes an upper limit of the number of receptor fields, of the plurality of receptor fields, which are used for one image capturing operation depending on when the radiation image capturing apparatus is attached to a stand to which the radiation image capturing apparatus can be attached and when the radiation image capturing apparatus is detached from the stand.
