PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liana cultivation device having an easy structure enabling drawing out and automatically shifting a linear material to the horizontal direction, and to provide a liana cultivation method using the liana cultivation device and designed for efficiency and energy-saving. SOLUTION: This liana cultivation device 1 has a bobbin 3 which is wound with a linear material, a wheel 5 which can move on an orbit constructed on the upper side and rotates unitedly with the bobbin, a support body which supports the bobbin and the wheel, a wheel stopping tool 71 which stops the wheel at an appropriate position, and a buffer forming body which is arranged below the support body and buffers drawing of the linear material.
