Disclosed are compositions for controlling plant disease comprising ethaboxam and a neonicotinoid compound of formula (1), wherein the substituents are as defined within the specification. Examples of neonicotinoid compounds of formula (1) include clothianidin, imidacloprid and thiamethoxam. Further disclosed is a method for controlling plant diseases which comprises said composition, and a plant seed treated with effective amounts of said composition.
