PURPOSE: A sterilizing and drying apparatus for a toilet bowl is provided to cleanly maintain the toilet bowl by forming a cleaning unit at the rear side of the toile bowl. CONSTITUTION: A sterilizing and drying apparatus for a toilet bowl comprises a driving unit, a cleaning unit(40), and a control unit. The toilet bowl is connected to a water supply line, and installed in a public rest room. The toilet seat is movably installed on the toilet bowl. The driving unit moves the toilet seat up and down. The cleaning unit is installed at the rear side of the toilet bowl, and comprises a housing(41) for the toilet seat. The cleaning unit sterilizes and dries the toilet seat when the toilet seat moves back into the housing. The control unit control the driving unit and cleaning unit.본 발명은 양변기 좌대의 살균 및 건조장치를 개시한 것으로, 이러한 본 발명은 공공시설의 화장실에 설치되면서 물 공급라인만이 연결되는 양변기의 좌대가 후방측으로 이동할 수 있도록 구성한 후 그 후방측에 좌대의 살균 및 건조를 위한 청결유지장치를 구성한 것이며, 이에따라 휴지통이 마련되지 않은 공공시설의 화장실에서 양변기 좌대에 대한 청결이 보다 효율적으로 관리되도록 하여 이용자들의 화장실 이용에 따른 불쾌감을 없애고, 특히 비데 설치에 대한 비용을 절감할 수 있도록 한 것이다.
