A humidifier for humidifying a flow of breathable gas, the humidifier comprising: a moulded tub configured to contain a supply of water and comprising: an air inlet for receiving the flow of breathable gas and an air outlet adapted to connect to a gas conduit and deliver the flow of breathable gas a heater element (41) configured to heat the supply of water to humidify the flow of breathable gas and at least one electrical connector (62) moulded into the moulded tub, the at least one electrical connector connecting the heater element to an electrical contact to enable the heater element to be connected to a power supply unit.
