A medical probe is provided. A medical probe includes a shaft 29, a camera 35, a hollow cutting tool 32, and an inflatable balloon. The shaft is configured to be inserted through a cut in the patient's body, while the shaft includes an actuating vacuum channel 34 extending through the shaft. A camera is mounted on the distal end of the shaft and is configured to provide an image of the target tissue site within the body. The hollow cutting tool is for insertion over a guidewire into the working vacuum channel of the shaft and is configured to pierce a target tissue site under the guidance of an image taken by a camera. The inflatable balloon is configured to stabilize the distal end of the shaft and is positioned proximal to the camera so as not to obstruct the image of the target tissue site.
